Amber Flag

The Amber Flag Initiative is an organisation which was set up to address the need for an increased level of mental health awareness, especially in schools. The initiative aims to promote positive well-being along with support for those struggling among students and teachers. Founded by Pieta House in 2014, the Amber Flag Initiative helps schools to destigmatise mental health issues and help people to realise that they are not alone.

The Wilson’s Hospital School Amber Flag Committee was established in 2021 and it is a student-led group that is guided by the school’s Guidance Counsellor.
